On 15-16 April 2026, the Members of the JURI Committee will meet in Brussels to hear the presentation of the JURI Committee`s gender mainstreaming action plan. At the same meeting, Members will consider the draft opinion to ITRE’s dossier on the Establishment of European Business Wallets (2025/0358(COD)), followed by the reporting back on JURI’s Missions to Madrid and Germany (Stuttgart and Heidelberg), that took place in February and March respectively.
The Committee on Legal Affairs will also hold an exchange of views with Henna Virkkunen, Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, in the context of the structured dialogue. The Committee will also vote on an opinion on the lagal basis of the dossier on Circularity requirements for vehicle design and on management of end-of-life vehicles, amending Regulations (EU) 2018/858 and 2019/1020 and repealing Directives 2000/53/EC and 2005/64/EC (2023/0284(COD)). Finally, JURI will hold jointly with IMCO, and with the association of PETI, a public hearing on the Citizen’s initiative ‘Stop destroying videogames’.
