On 24 April 2023, JURI Committee held an exchange of views in the context of structured dialogue with Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the Commission for Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight (15.00-16.00). Further, the committee heard reporting back on the negotiations (Rule 74(3)) regarding “Geographical indication protection for craft and industrial products” (2022/0115(COD)). The committee also held a hearing on Regulatory challenges of the Metaverse (16.30-18.30).
On 25 April 2023, the Members voted on the report on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence (2022/0051(COD)) and on recommendation on Accession of the European Union to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications (2023/0022(NLE) ).
The Members held an exchange of views in the context of structured dialogue with Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for Budget and Administration (9.00-10.00) and with Věra Jourová, Vice-President for Values and Transparency (16.00-17.00).
The Members also held an exchange of views on design package (2022/0391(COD) and 2022/0392(COD)) and insolvency law (2022/0408(COD)).
On 26 April 2023, the JURI and IMCO committee will consider the draft report on Liability for defective products (2022/0302(COD)).
