The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) is announcing the adoption of No Significant Risk Levels (NSRL) of 3.7 micrograms per day (μg/day) for the oral and inhalation routes for 1,3-Dichloropropene, in Title 27, California Code of Regulations, section 25705(b). NSRLs provide guidance for determining when a warning is required for exposures to chemicals listed as causing cancer. According to the OEHHA, the substance is mainly used as a nematicide and soil fumigant. This rulemaking was approved by the Office of Administration Law on June 13, and will be effective on July 1, 2022.
