European Commission announces draft Commission Delegated Decision amending Decision 2000/532/EC as regards an update of the list of waste in relation to battery-related waste. This draft Commission Delegated Decision concerns a targeted amendment of European the List of Waste to take into account the emergence of new battery chemistry and in the context of the new Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. Waste batteries, battery manufacturing waste and intermediates from waste battery recycling (new codes available in the Annex of the Delegated Decision). Proposed date of adoption : January 2025 Proposed date of entry into force : 20 days from publication in the Official Journal of the EU (The provisions shall apply after 18 months)
