Australia – Proposed Remake of the Radiocommunications (Exemption) Determination 2021

Tiempo estimado de lectura: 18 segundos

Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) announces the Radiocommunications (Exemption) Determination 2021 due to expire by self-repeal on August 28, 2024. This allows for limited and controlled access to equipment banned under the Radiocommunications Act 1992. The framework is designed to promote research and development, manufacturing, market development and innovation opportunities involving banned equipment for Australia’s defence, technology, and radiocommunications sectors. Plan to remake the instrument before its self-repeal date with minor changes to: – capture ‘screened room’ operation in a definition for ‘shielded enclosure’ – allow for a 5-year self-repeal date – put arrangements in place for named person exemptions.
