The Committee on Legal Affairs, with the support of the Directorate for Relations with National Parliaments (DG PART), is organising an Interparliamentary Committee Meeting (ICM) on ‘Implementation of the Directive on the Protection of the Environment through Criminal Law’. The event will take place on 4 June 2025, from 14:30 to 16:30.
Members of the JURI committee and national parliaments of EU Member States will have the opportunity to discuss the Environmental Crime Directive and its upcoming transposition into national law. This initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between the European Parliament and national parliaments, providing a platform to exchange views on Member States’ experiences and to assess the current state of transposition across the EU.
