On 8 April, the JURI committee voted on the opinion on Measures to facilitate consular protection for unrepresented citizens of the Union in third countries (2023/0441(CNS)). Additionally, JURI Members voted on the provisional agreement resulting from interinstitutional negotiations on the Amending Directives 2009/102/EC and (EU) 2017/1132 as regards further expanding and upgrading the use of digital tools and processes in company law (2023/0089(COD)).
JURI Members also had the chance of exchanging views with Mr. Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). Finally, the draft opinion on Establishing harmonised requirements in the internal market on transparency of interest representation carried out on behalf of third countries and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 (2023/0463(COD)) was considered.
