On 19 March 2024, the JURI committee voted on the provisional agreement on Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 (2022/0051(COD)). The committee also held an exchange of views on Establishing harmonised requirements in the internal market on transparency of interest representation carried out on behalf of third countries and amending Directive (EU) 2019/1937 (2023/0463(COD)).
The Members then considered the draft opinion on Measures to facilitate consular protection for unrepresented citizens of the Union in third countries (2023/0441(CNS)).
Further, they reported back on the negotiations on the use of digital tools and processes in company law (2023/0089(COD)).
Finally, they heard a presentation of the annual report 2023 and work programme 2024 of the EP Coordinator on Children’s Rights, Mrs Ewa Kopacz, Vice-President of the European Parliament; and a presentation of the study on Parental Child Abductions to Third Countries by the Policy Department C.
