On 4-5 May 2026, the Members of the JURI Committee will meet jointly with LIBE Committee to present the draft report on Establishing the Justice programme for the period 2028-2034 (2025/0255(COD)). At the same meeting, JURI Members will hear the presentation of the 28th Regime proposal by Commissioner for Democracy, Justice, the Rule of Law and Consumer Protection Michael McGrath.
The Committee will also consider the amendments to the opinion on establishment of European Business Wallets (2025/0358(COD)). Subsequently, JURI Members will consider the draft recommendation on the conclusion, on behalf of the European Union, of the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of the environment through criminal law (2025/0244(NLE)), followed by the consideration of the draft report authorising Member States to accept, in the interests of the European Union, the accession of Cabo Verde to the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (2026/0041(NLE)). The meeting will finalize with the votes on an opinion on the legal basis to a TRAN legislative dossier (2025/0407(COD)).
