On 3 June 2026, the Members of the Legal Affairs Committee will meet to hear the presentation by the Commission on the European Biotech Act proposal. At the same meeting, JURI Members will vote and hear the reporting back to committee on the negotiations pursuant to Rule 75(3)) by the rapporteur regarding the legislative dossier: Jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of measures and cooperation in matters relating to the protection of adults (2023/0169(COD)).
The JURI committee will also vote on the opinion on the Establishment of European Business Wallets (2025/0358(COD)), on a recommendation to the conclusion of the Council of Europe Convention on the protection of the environment through criminal law (2025/0244(NLE)) and on a report authorising Member States to accept the accession of Cabo Verde to the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction (2026/0041(NLE)). The Committee will also hold a workshop, in cooperation with the Policy Department, on the evaluation of the Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Directive 2004/48/EC, followed by and exchange of views with EFRAG on the Work Programme 2026.
