Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) proposes amendments to the Operation Bulletin of the Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act. The main modification is as below. – Relaxation of detatiled standards for model classification (Annex 10) for the Energy Storage System(ESS) battery – Including MOSFET to safety management parts(Annex 20) which is applicable to the Small size ESS battery. – Updating the status of safety standards, KC 62619, IEC harmonized safety standards from IEC 62619 ED. 1.0 to IEC 62619 ED. 2.0.
