South Korea – Draft Amendment of the «Technical Regulations for the Telecommunication Terminal Equipment»

South Korea National Radio Research Agency (RRA)​ announced ​Draft amendment of the «Technical regulations for the Telecommunication Terminal Equipment» 1) Deletion of Basic Rate Interface(BRI) of Integrated Services Digital Network(ISDN) (Article 19, No. 1, Article 20, [Annex] 12) -The provision on Basic Rate Interface(BRI) of Integrated Services Digital Network(ISDN), which is a terminal access method without service demand, has been deleted from the technical criteria. 2) Change of terms in technical criteria -Changed the terms related to the transmission power of optical fiber facilities to a unified term and added the international standard contents as a comment to the terms set in the technical criteria. (Article 26) -Changed difficult terms to easy terms. (Articles 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 28) Proposed date of adoption: June 2022 Proposed date of entry into force: August 2022 or later Final date for comments: 60 days from notification​
