Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) announces partial amendment of Regulations for Terminal Facilities. When an emergency call cannot be made with a SIM, mobile phones compatible with multiple SIM will be obligated to have the function to switch SIMs automatically and try to make another call again. In addition, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will establish testing methods for mobile phones compatible with multiple SIMs. Proposed date of adoption : November, 2024 Proposed date of entry into force : 1 July 2025; (A part of amendment will entry into force on January 1st, 2026.)
