Japan – DENAN – Revision of “About Interpretation of Ministerial Ordinance for Establishing Technical Requirements for Electrical Appliances and Materials»

​ It was announced by METI that Appendix 10 and Appnedix 12 of “About Interpretation of Ministerial Ordinance for Establishing Technical Requirements for Electrical Appliances and Materials” were revised on August 31, 2022. Summary of this anouncement: Appendix 10 : Appendix 10 stipulates the per​missible values of radio noise strength from electrical appliances, but there are no requirements for radiated emmission from lighting devices. Since there is a risk that measures against communication interference caused by radio noise from lighting devices are not taken sufficiently, the international technical trends related to radio noise strength have been reflected in this revision.​ Apppendix 12 : – 8 J-standards were replaced wit h a newer edition. – 16 J-standards were deleted due to the expiration of transition period.
