Japan Consumer Affairs Agency (CAA) announces Amendment to the Specifications and Standards for Foods, Food Additives, Etc. Amendment to the specifications for synthetic resin used for apparatus, containers, and packaging. Consumer Affairs Agency will amend the amended Positive List to add some substances in the List. The regulatory activities on food hygiene were transferred to the Consumer Affairs Agency from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare on April 1, 2024.
