Recently, the Institute of Standards of Cambodia notified WTO regarding Prakas on Technical Standards of Telecommunications Equipment. This covers the following Telecommunication Equipment: – Wired Telecommunications Equipment in Appendix 1, and – Radiocommunication equipment from Appendix 2 to Appendix 13 (Cellular Base Stations and Repeater Systems, Cellular Mobile Terminals, Land Mobile Radio, Short-Range Devices, Internet of Things, Ultra-Wide Band Devices, Intelligent Transport Systems, Maritime Radio Equipment, Aeronautical Radio Equipment, Amateur Radio Equipment, Global Mobile Personal Communication Satellite, and Integrated Receiver Decoder (IRD) for Use with 2nd Generation Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting System. This Prakas sets out the Technical Standards of Telecommunication Equipment, with the objective of ensuring interoperability, electromagnetic compatibility, the prevention of radio frequency interference, the safety of telecommunication equipment, infrastructure and networks equipment for users, as well as promoting harmonization between national standards and international standards.
