USA – Proposed Modification to the List of Appropriate NRTL Program Test Standards and the Scope of Recognition of Several NRTLs

​The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) proposes to: 1. delete test standards from the Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTL) Program’s list of appropriate test standards. OSHA lists 16 test standards recommended for deletion, such as standards related to explosive atmospheres and electrical equipment protection. Example of Withdrawn Standard: ISA 12.12.01: Nonincendive Electrical Equipment for Certain Hazardous Locations.​ 2. modify the scope of recognition of several NRTLs.
