On 24 March, the Members of the Legal Affairs Committee will meet in Brussels to vote on Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions for ‘pre-assessment’ by the Commission regarding the 2027 budget procedure. JURI Members will also hold an exchange of views in the context of the structured dialogue with the Executive Vice-President for Prosperity and Industrial Strategy, Stéphane Séjourné, and with the Commissioner for Economy and Productivity; Implementation and Simplification, Valdis Dombrovskis.
On the agenda there will be also a presentation of the annual report 2025 of the EP Coordinator on Children’s Rights, by Mrs Ewa Kopacz, Vice-President of the European Parliament. JURI Members will also hear the reporting back to committee on the negotiations pursuant to Rule 75(3) of the RoP, on the legislative file Jurisdiction, applicable law, recognition and enforcement of measures and cooperation in matters relating to the protection of adults (2023/0169(COD)). The meeting will end with the reporting back back to committee on JURI’s mission to Madrid that took place in February 2026.
