On 4 November 2025, the Committee on Legal Affairs will hold a public hearing on the ‘European Cross-Border Association: Legal Foundations and Civil Society Impact’.
The hearing aims to provide a platform for civil society organisations to bring new perspectives on the need for a European framework for cross-border associations. Additionally, it aims to shed light on the recent European Commission intention to withdraw the «ECBA» proposal within the next six months, as announced in its 2026 Work Programme.
