The Commission adopted new technical and service rules effective December 14, 2016, for millimeter-wave (mmWave) devices under FCC Part 30 rules. Report and Order FCC 24-124 introduced stricter out-of-band emission (OOBE) limits, known as Resolution 750 limits, for mobile operations in the 24 GHz band (24.25-24.45 GHz & 24.75-25.25 GHz), effective January 13, 2025. These new OOBE limits apply solely to mobile operations as defined in parts 2 and 20 of the Commission’s rules operating in the 24 GHz band. They do not apply to other Part 30 mmWave bands or Transportable stations, which are stationary and operate under the fixed service allocation. Fixed Services, including point-to-point and point-to-multipoint, are also exempt from these OOBE limits.
