The regulation applies to devices such as Mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, headsets, portable video game consoles, portable speakers, e-book readers, keyboards, mice, portable navigation devices, earphones, and laptops, requiring them to adopt USB-C type connectors for charging and data transfer. The notice will take effect one year after its announcement and will be reviewed every three years for validity and potential improvements.
