Mexico – Agreement Issuing the General Cybersecurity Policy for the Federal Public Administration

​The «Agreement Issuing the General Cybersecurity Policy for the Federal Public Administration» was published on December 17, 2025, and enters into force the day after its publication (December 18, 2025). The policy outlines the strategic framework for cybersecurity in Mexico’s Federal Public Administration, with the General Directorate of Cybersecurity responsible for monitoring compliance, conducting evaluations, and providing support to federal entities. Within 60 days of its entry into force, federal entities must formally designate a Head of Cybersecurity and their assistant, while the Agency of Digital Transformation and Telecommunications will issue technical guidelines and compliance criteria within 180 days.
