This draft standard SI 60335 part 2.11 on Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety: Particular requirements for tumble dryers, is a revision of the mandatory standard SI 900 part 2.11. This standard revision adopts the International Standard IEC 60335-2-11 – Edition 8.0: 2019-04, with a few changes that appear in the standard’s Hebrew section. The major difference between the old version and this new revised draft standard is the removal of the national paragraph 203 dealing with the noise level. Both the old and the new revised standards will apply from entry into force of this revision standard, for a transition period of 12 months. During this time, products may be tested according to the old or the new revised standard.
