Notice is hereby given by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada has amended the following standard: RSS-Gen, issue 6, General requirements for compliance of radio apparatus, sets out the general requirements applicable to licensed and license-exempt radio apparatus. RSS-Gen Issue 6 replaces the previous version to update general compliance requirements for radio apparatus. Key updates include expanded measurement ranges (up to 750 GHz), stricter equipment calibration standards, and streamlined labeling rules that now allow for QR codes and electronic labeling. Additionally, it clarifies licensing procedures and moves specific devices, like stand-alone receivers, to other regulatory standards.
