The National ICT Regulatory Authority (NRA) published Order No. 4/CA/ARN/2025 with the aim of regulating the designation of local representatives for the purpose of homologation of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) equipment to be marketed in Guinea-Bissau. The order determines that all entities, national or foreign, that wish to obtain equipment approval certificates from the NRA, must mandatorily designate a local representative residing in Guinea-Bissau with powers to act on behalf of the applicant entity. Main points of the order: Mandatory local representation qualified and resident in Guinea-Bissau; The representation can be made by a natural or legal person, with headquarters and valid tax identification number (NIF); The designation must be formalized by power of attorney or notarized statement; The local representative will be responsible for: Communicate with the NRA; Respond to requests for information and tests; Ensure the technical and after-sales responsibility of the equipment; Maintain up-to-date data with the NRA This Order went into force since August 4, 2025.
